Since the 2025/26 season, Sergei Morozov has been engaged as Assistant Director at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. In 2025, he completed the Master’s degree in Music Theatre Directing at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. Previously, in 2015, he graduated in Music Theatre Directing from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow. He was also a prize winner of the Ring Award’17 International Opera Competition in Graz, Austria.
His directing credits include What Joy by Zara Ali in Berlin (2025), Aleko by Sergei Rachmaninoff in Astrakhan (2023), and Arianna in Nasso by Nicola Porpora in Vienna (2017).
His artistic interests focus particularly on contemporary music theatre. In addition, he has worked at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theater an der Wien, and the Bolshoi Theatre.
